16 days in Noida

Hello all,

First time trip to India for business. I will be staying in Noida, and will have work commitments during the week. I am wondering what sites are reachable for day or two day trips or closer for a day that are "cant miss" sites. I would love to get down to Ranthambore or some other national park type areas as i am big into photography and would love to come back with awesome photos and experiences. Any suggestions for 1/2day - 2 day excursions from Noida/ New Delhi area would be much appreciated.

Thanks all,

John

Update: I will be there for the first half of November!

Agra (Taj, Baby Taj, Fatehpur Sikri, Mehtab Bagh, Agra Fort)

Ranthambore would be closed during monsoon. Would be open from 1st October.

In the month of November - December you can visit the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary.

Have you been to India / Delhi before ? You will be spoilt for choice for the weekends.

Delhi itself has a treasure trove of monuments and parks which you can explore on the weekends.

Agra and Jaipur both are only a few hours away.

Rishikesh / Haridwar is also a short train journey away. You can do white water rafting in Rishikesh as also hike in the surrounding hills. Haridwar is one of India's holiest pilgrimage destinations.

Amristar(Golden Temple) is also a short haul from Delhi.

Also, Delhi is the gateaway to the hills with many of India's premier hill stations only an overnight bus/train journey away. Shimla , Nainital, Mussorie etc

Most National Parks reopen in October after the monsoons. Ranthambore , Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary , Jim Corbett National Park , Sariska are all only a few hours away.

There are also a host of weekend resort destinations from Delhi. Check a few of them here :
