I do not agree with RISHIKESH being a enjoyble place but as you wrote about being TRUE HINDU-i think this has gone too far.
I was niether insulting nor under-rating a place like RISHIKESH but with changing times..what this city has become...is what makes me write that better avoid stying here.

Lets keep our religious feeling aside...this is not matter of being HINDU or not or being a TRUE one or not !

Stay at the Hotel Jaipur Inn before?

We are trying to find out if anyone knows about the food there.
Especially about the free breakfast?
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks!

Have you ever been in Rishikesh, or for that, in India before? Why do you worry about the breakfast? There are many places around there where you can get breakfast for not much money, including the hotel's own restaurant.

One thing you should know though is that the hotel is near a very busy spot. A lot of people staying at that side of Rishikesh complain about the ongoing noise all the time (Pujas thru loudspeakers, pilgrims ringing the bells at 13-story-temple next door, street noise from Jeeps etc). The quieter side is at Svargashram (Ramjula), about one mile down the river. There are (dis)advantages to both locations. Upstream: Nice Ganga-views from restaurants, more shops, better eating places. Downstream: quieter (some noise too at puja-times), motor-traffic-free, better Ganga access, less hotel choices, many large Ashrams, pilgrimage crowds from April onwards...

In which period do you want to be there?
