Congrats ssvicky !!! My best wishes for you.
Well expect some rain during the period u intend to travel. The places u have chosen form the standard Kumaun trip. I suggest you skip Almora & see if u can include Binsar & Sitlakhet. For a very romantic stay(surely u want that) try to book the forest lodge in Binsar. Go to the office of DFO(West) in Almora for the booking. From here u can book the forest lodge at Sitlakhet too. In case u are unable to book the forest lodges KMVN has tourist lodges at both Binsar & Sitlakhet. I had written about Sitlakhet earlier.... u may do a search.
Cyberhippie had been to Kumaon recently so u can contact him.
Wish u all the luck.

Ranikhet is also very nice.... then do either Binsar or Sitlakhet. Distances are not much....

There is no long distance sight seeings here. Just walk around. From Nainital you can go & visit other lakes... bus service is ok. Of course there is nothing like having a vehicle. U can hire a vehicle in Kathgodam assuming you are starting ur journey from here. For accomodation check out Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam (KMVN)... they might have an office in Mumbai otherwise check their website. The tarrif is quite reasonable.

Yes it will rain at times. I myself like the rains & clouds in the mountains... it is so different than the plains. In the hills rains come & go... leaving a lush green touch to the nature... if u are travelling by bus ur luggage may be kept on the roof... carry thick polythene sheets to cover ur bags to prevent getting wet... have u checked out KMVN web site????

For Honeymoon my advise is opt for private hotel if you are visiting /staying Nainital , Ranikhet , Almora , Kausani etc. Last october I was in that area / region & my experience regarding KMVN Lodges is not satisfying. Location of KMVN hotels is no doubt the best but maintenance & service ?????????. with an exception in some places offcourse.
