Tiger Haven (near Dudhwa)
Hi. Wanted to know if any of you Imers have been to Billy Arjan Singh's Tiger Haven? If yes, pls give some info. Plan to go there sometime this year.

What do u folks want to know? From my only trip to Dudhwa, 10 yesrs ago, I can tell u the foll:
Billy is a great guy (wow, he's all of 85 now), his place is half-way between the Dudhwa camp and the last town Palia Kalan, but there really is not much going on as to wildlife-watching. Unfortunately UP is one of the states that doesn't have conservation as a high-priority item. What is the purpose of your visit - Billy-Tiger Haven,etc, or wildlife-watching? For the latter, u'll be better off visiting other parks. |
