Tata Sumo at Dehradun

We are a team of 15 folks going on a trek to the Rupin Valley in Uttarakhand in June.

We would like to hire two Tata Sumos to take us from Dehradun railway station to Netwar (in north Uttarakhand) in mid June.

Would anyone know of any contact numbers of people who give Sumos/taxi's on hire?

I am not sure about Dehradun, but Tata Sumos are available from Hardwar. They take travellers mostly pilgrims to the dhams, but they know all the routes, If you reach Dehradun (or better still if you go by train one of you can get down at Hardwar and fix up with them) they are registered taxi union and will give you correct rates and surely they can pick you up from Dehradun or give a contact for hire in Dehradun.

Unfortunately we are taking the night train and we land Dehradun early morning. We don't have the option of getting down at Hardiwar.

Any other options can you think of?

All trains stop at Haridwar. You do have this option. But Dehra Doon is nearer your destination. Which is why you should get down at DDN.

What time are you arriving Delhi ? Is the night train your only choice??
