nainital-binsar trip.....

hi all..
i m planning to visit kumaon region or to be more specific ...nainital in the first week of august for 6-7 days.I plan to go by a train from delhi...first to kathgodam and then proceed to nainital.i m also desperate to visit binsar..having heard so much about this place

I want to know what wud be the best plan..will it be possible to go to naintal(2-3 days)and then proceed to binsar....wat is the distance and time taken to reach this place....i just want to do these two places and do not feel like rushing through the entire region...........kindly advise

Thats just a start. In the same Uttarakhand forum, numerous threads on that area.

Briefly, though, 7 days from Delhi to Delhi, both Nainital and Binsar are easily possible. Binsar is a few hours drive from Nainital, a little beyond Almora.

But do search here on indiamike. YOu may well knock off Nainital and add something else

PS Jageshwar from Binsar is a strong suggestion of mine

Binsar is famous for both forest and mountain view. In August you will not able to view mountain, unless your are very lucky. Forest will be very green. But if there is heavy rainfall, you may not be able to go outside.
