Yes, however those two are out of town, the one Mridula saw must have been Blue Pine resort, it is 4Km before the town...theother one is few kilometers 'away' from the town...

There was another one being constructed 8 Km before the town, by an businessman from Delhi...

Blue Pine it was, indeed. Oh but I had no clue snow capped peaks are visible from Lansdowne.

I was not aware of the two new hotels so didn't look for them, my bad. Though we did cross a hotel while entering the town but we just got lazy and decided to stay put at Mayur. But then a break is always nice and this one was sorely needed. I can now see I was low on research.
mridula, Feb seems to be a lottery-game with the views - that cold, blustery trip 3 years ago, we were there 3 days and unlucky all 3 days! On 2 other occasions, a group of us took short day-trips there (2 hours at most) from Corbett Park, in Nov/Dec and early-Jan respectively, and were lucky both times. Go figure.

Here's the other thread with shash's hotel info:

Also, that 'Travelogue' thread (link at the bottom of this page) is good.

Dilliwala, thanks for the inputs. I have seen the travelogue thread before and definitely liked it. Thanks for the link to Shashank's thread. Oh and here are some of our pictures-

Dilliwala, inside the church they have done away with the pews and have chairs and also run some video show which we did not watch. The caretaker was there when we went and showed us the rope of the bell too, and run it!

No, I did nothing with the map, just indicated the location as lansdowne, India and know nothing more. Maps are not my forte.
