Dakpatthar & Chakrata

Hi everybody,
One of my friends is going to Dakpathar and Chakrata this May. He'll start from Dehradun, go to Dakpathar first and then Chakrata and will spend 2 nights at each of these two places. Although we found a lot on Chakrata on IM, there's virtually nothing on Dakpathar. We need help on :
1. information on Dakpathar - what to see, where to stay including hotel rates
2. car rental - if a car is booked for the entire journey then what will be the charges per day. Otherwise, what will be the charge if it's booked from point to point ? In the latter case, whether car will be available at Dakpathar for Chakrata and at Chakrata for onward journey towards Dhanoulti.
Can somebody help ?

Thnx AT, some of these were already known to us. The photo is quite good, so is the first link.
But pl. refer the first post on this thread - we wanted some first hand report and if possible, replies to some specific queries posted there.

Or Irrigation Dept. GH. 80 bucks a night 5 years ago for a double room, but I'll bet it has gone up. Has to be booked from Dehradun.

Work with Rs. 8/km.

Forget it. You'll have to book one car for the whole journey.
