7-day trek in August

Hi,

I am planning a 7 day trek in Uttarakhand during the month of August. Can you please let me know:

1. Is good to go during 2nd/3rd week of august.
2. Can you provide your inputs so that I can finalise on the route.
3. As we are just two members, would like to know if we can get some local guides for the same. Can we get them directly at the base or we need to do contact them in advance.

Please read the ones relevant to you and come back with any queries.

I have put in the details of some of the treks that you have mentioned - like HKD, Brdni bugyal, etc and soem which you have not mentioned - like Milam, Chopta, etc.

august it going to be pretty rainy. but if you like green beauty, this is the best time. check the bedni bugyal link on mt blog page. we did it on independence day weekend (15th aug). that can give you an idea of the stunning greenery.

You can even do the milam trek in the same period. that is a long one but a great trek.
