ooty
Hi I have jut found this site by google search, i am new to this site, It seems t be awesome site for traveling Bharat. (excuseme! i m excited)
I am going to get married in may 22(bat pakki ho gaie). I have planned to go to ooty from (29-may to 5-june).After that back to job. what i have: - days . 29-may to 5-June - budget . Rs.20thou (not so much i guess! or is it good?) - people . 2 (you know who) my quires: - travel cost ? - sober hotel ? - Good map of ooty spots, locations, road maps in my hand? - I want to avoid tourist guide, cause cost expense increases and run from one spot to another in limited time Is not something i'll feel relax and make my wife happy(It will feel me like bombay train from on place to another). - Where can i get maps of good ooty spots.(to surprise my wife). Calm paths passing trough the dense. clouds and mountains, and any of your choice.(less spots will do but good ones, cause i understand in above given time i cannot visit all spots) - Where i should stay for a week in ooty where i can visit few good spots? (Is there any possibilities like that or its an impossible dream) - Am i right? not crowed like bombay flocks. Just silent an peace in may june. - above time given, will it be hot season? - will it be crowded? ----------------------------------------------------------- From these queries you might get what is in my mind, what i am planning for my wife. Is there any other place you would suggest will also do. but my budget is my problem. I can extend it to 24tho also if required. |

Welcome to the site!
There's quite a few questions there, and I suspect you may well find some answered here already. Ooty is not a big place, and I suspect that there may be a tourist-board website that will help you out with locations, and maybe even a map. Of course, personal recommendations from members is nice too! Actually it is even covered gy Google Maps! -->here! www.ooty.com might be useful too. Climate: it is too high to be hot. My visit there was in July, monsoon time; not only was it very wet, but pretty cold too. The monsoon dates I'm sure you know better than I do, as the SE monsoon visits your city every year, but not mine. It hits Kerala during first week of June, so you may just get your trip in before it. |

nilgiris.nic.in has most of the maps, hotel info etc.
Also have a look at http://www.indiamike.com/india/tamil...anuary-t69481/ |
