coonoor - ooty trip from kerala

Hi
i am justin will be in kerala in the month of november i have made bookings for ooty on the 2nd november 2009 to 4th november 2009 at hotel savoy taj and planning to drive from aluva kerala on the 2nd at 5 am with my wife and 2 yr old son via coimbatore coonoor ooty also have booked for a train ride on 3rd from ooty to coonoor and back in the afternoon 15.00 pm train. Can anybody suggest me how should i spend the remaining time. Also while driving to ooty via coonoor WHICH PLACES CAN I VISIT.

Coonnor itself has very nice places like

Dolphin's nose
SIMS park
Parade Grounds
Golf Course

Enroute you can stop over for a while at Lovedale and Aravankadu for some scenery. Other than that there is nothing else enroute.

In ooty You can visit the following places

Botanical Garden
Suicide Point
Doddabetta (Highest Peak), Try walking from 4 corner road to Doddabetta, Its one unforgettable experience. If you have a driver, then the car can wait for you in telescope house, Doddabetta.
Lake (For Boating)

Try shooting medu also.. Good resting place and scenery for sunset..

Botanical Garden in Ootty is a must see, try to make it first thing in the morning, wonderful experience.
