Conoor to Coimbatore bus

How frequent are the bus services from Conoor to Coimbatore?

And do they have good deluxe buses?

How much will this trip cost?

Hi Dave,

The bus service is quite frequent. There should be a bus leaving every 45 minutes max. These are all Government buses and would not be all that posh. I am not sure about the exact cost, but just to give you an idea, it might cost less then 100 INR
( 2 USD )

I would suggest going to Ooty and taking a bus to Coimbatore. Ooty - Coimbatore bus frequency every 25 mins from 5:30 am to 8:00 pm

Why I heard that from Conoor also there are frequent buses to Coimbatore?

The buses which go from Ooty to Coimbatore pass through Coonoor. So possibility of getting a chance to sit might be difficult. There are buses starting from Coonoor also but they might not be that frequent.

The buses from Coonoor to Coimbatore are frequent enough during the day 0600-1900. There is no need to go to Ooty just to take the bus. There ARE a few deluxe/AC buses, these are basically longer route buses that go from Ooty to Chennai (for example); these pass through Coonoor too. The evening times, after 4.30 PM are the best times for getting these buses. Often you will find a place to sit too on these buses, as relatively few locals use the AC/deluxe buses. Because these buses are fixed and few, you should be able to find information about them at the Coonoor bus stand.
