Trekking Partners Needed: Karnataka
Looking for trek partners for a 5 day trek in Coorg
Hi Guys,
I'm looking for trek companions to do a coorg trek. This will be my first Coorg trek and as such will have the standard elements in it, namely Thadiyandamol and brahmgiri peaks,Irpu and abbey Falls,Talacauvery,Madikeri(sig ht seeing) and Nagarahole National Park. I am also interested in going to ulhasnagar(tibetan temple and village). This is a very generic time permitting plan.
It can be worked on collectively with interested participants.
I am also looking for any comments, advice and criticism. I am planning on getting the outlook traveller book with coorg trek details in it.
Any other magazine or site or planning resource , if available, please do let me know.
Any and all willing participants are most welcome. The trek is tentatively scheduled for third week of October.
Thanks for reading my post !

Sakleshpur Railway Trek - Oct 1 - Oct 5 - Partners needed
Posted earlier also but this time in the proper forum
Hi
Two of my friends are going to Sakleshpur Railway Line Trek next week from Oct 1 to Oct 5. This is southern part of India, so IMers from south can plan to join in. See the location in map:

For details of trek:

My friends are enthusiastic about photography, so they will go slow spending much time on shooting. If time permits, they will go to some near by places also.
I may not be able to join them because of some personal work.
If anyone wants to join in, please respond.
Note1: Neither me nor my friends are organizing this trek. Everyone will be on his own risk and expenses.

sakleshpur railway trek
Hi Paresh,
Thanks for letting me know about this trek. I am actually looking for classic nature walks and as such coorg IMO has treks that are of easy to moderate intensity and run for a few hours each.
I am interested in the railway trek but coorg ranks above it for now.

Hi
I'm just now doing a social year in India (Karnataka) until August 2011. I thought about taking a holiday to make a trekkingtour in the western ghats (maybe the green route (?))
Is there somebody who wants to come with me or is there a goup where I can join in?
looking forward to a nice holiday!

Ok , when and how are your dates .. Hi Olindia,
have you done the Greenroute trek? I would be interested if you are planning it or any other Western Ghat treks, though monsoon has already arrived true and fast. I don't exactly relish getting a bloodletting by leeches!
Tadeyandemol wouldn't be a bad idea either.
