Hi Manku

I'm considering this trek - and these dates work for me as I arrive in India around 18th August.

However, can you provide me with more info? What do you anticipate the cost to be, what is the level of difficulty of this trek, do we need any speciat gear?

Thanks.

Hey World Dancer

I am finally glad that there is someone who has shown interests in my thread( Trek to OM Parvat)

World Dancer, i have been travelling in uttaranchal from last couple of years and i have developed quite good relationship with

local people there. I have made this choice of trekking OM Parvat as it meets both goals of checking physical fitness as well as you feel close to mountains and feeling the spritual air around you.

Well !! If you talk about cost I am expecting it quite economical.I am in the process of sorting out budget however i will say , i will be travelling from Delhi to Kathgotham via Train and from Kathgotham , we can take either bus or a cab to kausani.

From kausani we can travel in local buses or in cabs which is quite economical.

Up in mountains, hotels are quiet cheap , 200 to 500 , i will say.

As i will have to hire a local guide if needed , a porter and a cook , however i am a good cook myself too inspite of being a geek.

As it is 23 days treak , an average , i feel we will be spending 1500 rupees to 2500 rupees but i feel cost will be on lesser side not more as i will be arranging things and with help of local people i can smoothly organize the trip, However i will request budget is not a constraint

All I need is good people with motivated soul.

I live in Delhi so when you come here , we can discuss more .

Regards

Manku

Also When you talk about level of difficult, i would say its not very touch as its your will which takes you on the top of the mountain when your body gives up so just be motivated.

No extra things needed, make sure to carry winter jackets , also rain proof jackets. sun bloacks , if you have adventure gear , you can carry , you can do some rock climbing o the way !! Cheers !!
