Trek partners needed: Ladakh (Jammu and Kashmir)

Hi all,
Anyone interested in Stok Kangri around August 24, 2009? Im coming from spending the summer in Rajasthan so I don't have any cold weather gear...was hoping to purchase the bare essentials in Leh. I am a young man with high altitude mountaineering experience (above 6000m), glacial mountaineering, trad, sport, and bouldering experience and I am a cert. wilderness EMT. I'm looking for another experienced or semi-experienced trekker/climber to pair up with for safety and good times

HI. I'll be in Leh until 26th august at HH Dalai Lama's teachings. after that i'm keen to walk, climb etc. You can find me at Padma Guest House. I have all my clothing but will only bring walking not climbing boots. the other stuff we would have to hire.... ropes, harnesses etc. i've only really been in the snow in NZ and Norway so not at altitude. In Peru the highest pass was 5000m but i was a bit sick..... that's why i'm taking longer to acclimitise this time! so should hopefully be ok if we meet up and decide to do something together. i leave here on 27th july so won't have any contact til i'm in Leh around the 20th august.

Hi, I plan to be in Leh from the 16/17th Jan to 5 feb 2010. Would love to have some trekking partners along to just hike around. Planning for the Chadar Trek, but have no idea if it'll materialize due to cost. Drop me a mail! ivor_kool@hotmail.com
