hi jaimy,

I'll be based in Leh from early October for some volunteer work, and on my off time would be interested in doing some trips places (nubra, Pangong tso etc.), and sharing jeeps/taxis etc with you. I don't know exactly how things'll pan out yet with the NGO, but do get in touch if you're keen. micah.rickards@gmail.com

cheers,
micah

also, anyone interested in a trek first week of october, just before the cold weather sets in? I was thinking Marka Valley but would be open I'm a solo backpacker, reasonable experience in trekking, looking to meet up with others interested.

cheers

Hi there,

I should be there till around mid november, six weeks in all. Things are a touch vague for now, but I should now how things are happening once I am on site. Stok Kangri, I'm not sure what is entailed. I'll have a read. Snow should set in by then. Are you sureit is doable at this stage?

HI boktv,
i'm flying into delhi on 1st Oct, and planning on heading to either Leh or Spiti to do a trek or two.

Very vague or non-existent plans as yet, but also a solo backpacker so can head to where there are like minded people.

Let me know if you - or anyone else out there is planning a medium trek in first 3 weeks of Oct.

Ladakh august 2009

From beginning of August I intend to trek from Lamayuru monastry on road between Kargil and Leh to Padum. Should take about 10 days. Any advice or trekking partners please?

From 27th august til 5th september i want to trek from Tsomoriri to Kibber. It is a restricted area so assume I need a permit and guide, have been quoted 1000 Euros so far! Is anyone else interested in this trip also or has info on local guides I could approach in Leh?

Thanks, Kalimurti

Smile Ladakh august 2009

Hi. I'm walking from Lamayuru to Padum late july/early august. anyone interested to join up for this? Also 27th august to 5th september out from leh.... Tsomoriri area. Would ideally like to walk to Kibber as flying out from Manali. I'd like to find people to go with who are experienced mountain walkers like me.
