Hello to all members ,,,,,

I am very happy to say that I have completed my trek to Triund and Ilaka on 17th May ..... Covered both destinations same day. Started for the trek at 8:30 AM from Dharamkot... and returned back to Dharamkot around 07:30 PM.
Due to lack of timing I couldn’t spend my night at Triund or Ilaka. So kept that for my next trip...... Indrahar Pass trek is also in my to do list.

It was a fantastic experience to Triund / Ilaka trek and beyond my expectation....full of adventures (actually we missed the trail to Ilaka from Triund, and while returning back to trail was very adventurous experience as we crossed a very deep valley.... with the help of grass ).... Trek to Triund was good enough to exhaust somebody .....

It took me 2 hrs 30 minutes to reach Triund ...and again 2 hrs 30 minute from Triund to Ilaka (as we lost the trail)

Few members contacted me to go for the trek together, but due to different timings we couldn’t get it. But I got nice partners (James, Cris, Caroline) on the way itself. And I must say, it was an unforgettable trek with all these great partners.

Thank you all members to providing me great help about the Trek. Now my next destinations for the trek will be Western Ghaat …. Near Mumbai (znith water fall, Karnala Trek, Sukeli waterfall)....

Lightbulb The Moutain Cleaners

Hi trekkers,

actually in MacLeod Ganj editing my videos. If you fancy a glimpse of mountain before or after your trip, I would to share this report with you : "The mountain cleaners".

Some trekkers decide to clean the mountains from the rubbishes of others. Nature thanks them. We can copy them once in a while.

It s on my website (no add on it, no label behind) www.video-india.com under the menu name (HIMALAYA - The Mountain Cleaners).

I welcome comments and critics,

thank you

(heading for Manali for trekking in 2 days)

Olivier

This weekend to Triund or Tunganath/Chandrashila?

Guys, I am looking for trek partners for a trek this weekend + 1 or two days program. I am reasonably seasoned trekker in the South, but not been to the mighty Himalayas yet.

Anyone interested? You can contact me at benny dot joseph at gmail dot com.

Wink Mountain Climbing in Himachal

Hi all!

I am planning to go mountain climbing in Himachal in August this year (tentatively, I plan to leave Delhi on August 8, 2009). I have done a few high altitude treks before (in the 4000-5000 mtr range), but this is my first attempt at a peak.

I was hoping to do CCKN (Chau Chau Kang Nilda) which is located in the backdrop of Langza, Spiti Valley. I understand that this is a not very technical peak (altitude 6304 mtrs) and should require 12-13 days from Delhi and back for the entire expedition. For this, I have also spoken to seasoned guides who can accompany on the trip, and guide on the use of crampons, ropes, etc.

The entire expedition is likely to cost about 20k (if I am going alone with guide) and less if there is company.

If anyone is interested in doing such an expedition as this, please contact me. My email id is: ankur1895@gmail.com and my phone number is 9990638133.

Regards.
