Hampta Pass - September(Partners needed)

Dear All,

Me and my wife are planning for Hampta pass trek from Aug 28 to Sep 7. We are located at chennai.

Here is a tentative schedule.

Aug-28 ( Start from chennat to delhi - flight )
Aug-29 - Arrive at manali by bus.
Aug 30 to Sep 4 - HAmpta pass ( 4297 mts )
Sep 5 - Camp at chandratal lake (4200 mts)
Sep 6 - Arrive at manali
sep 7 - Arrive at delhi and catch the evening flight to chennai
Sep 7 - arrive at chennai.

We have still not decided on the guides and porters. I think,if there are atleast 4 folks,the cost will come to around 11,000 per person. We are trekking in the himalayas for the first time and need to arrange for guides,porters(cooks).

please PM me..if anybody is intrested.

:fingers crossed: Hopefully we may get this wish granted if the IM Boss decides on our application 'favourably'. There is a separate thread requesting for a "sticky" for "trekking partners". Please add your voice to it. (say that pleeeeease give us this day our daily bread... oops: thread)

hey sriram,
I too am planning a trek sometime in September, and have shortlisted Roopkund and (Hampta Pass + Chandartal). However, I am looking for some partners to share the costs involved. Have you finalized your trip yet? If you have chosen Hampta Pass, then may I suggest camping at Chandartal on the 15th of September(Full Moon)? Do let me know your plans so that I too can join.

Hi Prashb,

Great to know that !. Are you planning for both roopkund and hampta pass ? I actually dropped this plan because of lack of partners..

Also I am in to new issues with my vacation getting sactioned.

Well,Don't bother this invitation. It is a drop 99%.

well I was planning to do only one of them, depending upon the availability of partners. I just hope my himalayan trek this year does not remain a pipedream
