I'll Report on 6th May.

Duckbacks are heavy. What you really need is a Poncho. They are low cost but very useful on treks that have light-moderate rains and off & on rains which will probably be the case here.

Ponchos also cover a med. sized bag you may have on your shoulders, can be put on fast and taken off fast as well.

There is no technique involved in it.

It is as simple as maintaining one excel sheet. The first column is denoted to the term as name of place, like Kasol, how to reach ; second column carries the information/answer.

One sheet for each letter of alphabet just like in dictionary.

I keep on updating it and sorting it alphabetically.

The thing is I have booked it long time ago for 29th May, but still cant see my Admit Card. All of you have got your admit card already? Do they send it or you guys have downloaded. When I downloaded it, it was just a form and nothing else.

We have been told by Mumbai office of YHAI to collect the admit cards around 25th April which is approx. 15 days before our scheduled departure.

@Kedar71 Thanks for your reply. Lets see if others will reply. that means the participant would go to the local YHAI office (For me its Bangalore) to collect it?

@Subhrajitg, You may enquire with the Bangalore office in advance so that there are no last minute hassles.

I had booked it online. I could not print the Admit card too. After a couple of days i called the Delhi YHAI office and spoke to someone who looked up my booking and provided me with a reference number.
Thereafter i was told to go online to the YHAI website link: http://yhaindia.org/admitcard_form.php
and print it.
