What name do you use to describe this liquid?

Reading the the thread on the Optimus self priming stove, which incidentally I remember being in our house in the 50s, and worked very well.

I am amazed at how many descriptions of inflammible fuel vary from country to country.

Here is a start

Methylted spirit [UK] In [US] Denatured alcohol

Parrafin [UK] in [India] Kerosene

Petrol [UK]

Surgical spirit [UK] [India]same name but
seems to hve a viscous liquid added, castor oil?




Remember stove cooking is not allowed on Indian Railways!
