around Shimla
From Shimla head to Narkanda (64KM).. ..lots of HRTC buses ply on that route.
From Narkanda, trek up to the Hattu Devi Temple (7km by jeepable road) perched on a ridge at a height of around 3100mts. above sea level. That's the most popular trek around Shimla I guess, and good for it's view's and the lovely woods through which one walks to reach that temple. M Raman |

From SOLAN-drive to rajgarh...and near by is HARI-HAR DHAR. A trail for CHURDHAR starts from here. You can reach SHIMLA fromthis route but have to pitch tent for one night. There is one stream...it makes your trekking a full experience as all of a sudden you feel YOU ARE IN WILD !
This is above 3000m hight...so evenings could be colder. There is one temple on top... |
