weather in manali in november?

Hi there, the title pretty much says it all. Was just wondering what the weather might be like in November in Manali. I know people can't predict it, but if you have any idea just how many pairs of socks i should pack. I was there in Septemeber, and it was getting cold at night, and now that winter is setting in in Delhi I'm worried i might freeze up there.

Am heading up there as my friends are visitng from Australia and want to see the Himalaya, thought it might be a nice spot. Any other suggestions on "nice Himalaya viewing" spots?

cheers, Louise

I am going to Manali too, in early Nov with some guests from Australia.Checked the weather site on msn & found that it would be minus 2 at the lowest and 10 at the high. This was pertaining to Kullu so Manali would be colder.
We have opted to see Fagu, Chindi & Manali.

Manali in Nov

Hi,

There will be very few people in Manali this time of the year.
I go to Manali 2-3 times a year. I will be also driving to Manali in begining of November for some work. Last year i drove from Delhi-Shimla Fago- Narkhanda- Jalori Pass- Aut- Kullu-Manali in November. It was a very enjoyble trip.

The Good things about going to Manali in Nov are
1. On the higher reaches like Kothi, Rohtang etc you can see fresh snowfalls.
2. Hotels would be very cheap.

If you need any help about travelling, acommodation you could write me a pm.

Styler.

Old Manali and Vashist will be totaly closed. Manali would have some hotels and restaurants open.
