It's tough trek, it'll be cold there and chances of rain are also pretty high !
Go prepared !

bro, since u r planning to go to shri hemkund saab in JULY, all the snow would have been melted so cold will be tolerable. but chances of rain will increase bcos the location of that place is such that suddenly whether changes and clouds form....but the +ve thing is that u will be comfortable at ghagharia and same day u will have to retuen back from gurudwara to ghagharia b4 evening....so 6km up and 6km doun.... u can manage it with yr kid.......go on waheguruji ka naam leke

Thanks Buddies,
I have been to Hemkund Sahib couple of times earlier in the month of August. It is pleasant at that time. But my main concern is of my daughter? I will be accompanied by my elder brother's and sister's families. There will be five kids in all. My daughter is youngest among them. |

Well at some level Children are more adaptable, having said that I am sure you should ensure that there is enough protection for her from the elements - cold and rain. I have seen a few peole take young kids there so I guess it is ok.
Most importantly you should check with a doc |
