I have a limited days 12th Aug to 16th morning leave not granded by office.
Night travel from Joshimath not allow, So little change in the plan.
New Plan chart as..
12th Eve 4:30 start from delhi to Hardwar.
13th Morning 3/4 AM start from Hardwar to Govinghat.
to Ghagaria.
14th Ghagaria to VOF to Govinghat. (Start early 3/4 AM)
15th Govinghat to Rishikesh
16th Rishikesh to Delhi (Will leave Rishikesh in the eve of 15th so that we can attend the office)
I have one query:
If I suppose manage to reach Govindghat at around 3PM, Will I be allowed to trek to Ghangria on the same day? ( same query in return also)

its seems to a be a quite hectic schedule..you have to board a bus of BADRINATH to reach GOVINDGHAT.. or have to hire a car.. some times the bus halt at JOSHIMATH at night and again start next day for BADRINATH.. provided at what time you board a bus from HARIDWAR/RISHIKESH...
Hey guys, I return from VOF on 16th Evening
little late TB updated.
office
I was lucky
as I had not face any raindrop in entire track from Ghat to VOF to Ghat (except some "pin drop"
in return from Dum)
I Start my trip from Delhi on 12th Evening with Dehradun Express 9:20PM which drop me Haridwar on 13th 5:00AM (2hrs late)
. I contact the GMVN for road condition as I heard there was a landslide between Srinagar to Joshimath
After updating myself I gear the trip as per their suggestion at 5:30AM from Haridwar which I reached Govindghat at 4:10PM 13th Aug'11
------------Travel Road-----
Haridwar – Srinagar (Via UK Roadways Bus)
Srinagar - Rudrapayag (Via Local Bus)
Rudrapayag – Chamoli (Via Taxi to cover up the time)
Chamoli – Joshimath (Via UK Roadways Bus)
Joshimath – Govindghat (Via Local-Mahindra-Max)
-------------------------
I need acclimatization hence I plan to start track on early morning,
so take a room in Hotel cost 500/- per night (Heavy rain in late eve of 13th as per weather report) On 2AM on 14th I saw the clear sky
hence start tracking for VOF which take 3:30hrs to reached the gate, after discussion with forest guard I entered the Valley 5:40AM
(As per Guard I had to paid the entry fee on return as counter was not open)
One guide name "Raghuvir Chauhan" was meet
in the gate he guided me the path to track the end of valley
, I just track straight as per his suggested road with click left right with my point-to-shot cameras
, I reached the end point of the valley at 12:30 PM
and return with searching the flowers as per book provided by the Guide (I spend approx 2hrs to find out the one wild rat which has no tail
) I return VOF gate on 6:30PM after paying the pass fee I down to Ghangharia and taking 1 hrs rest.
I start track down to Govindghat at 7:30PM
and reached by 9:30PM.
After take dinner
in Gurudwara I rest the night in hotel (Same one) and start for Rishikesh on 15th 5AM,
Now my trip goes adventurous
when I face the Landslide and Cloud bursts... We cross the landslide via tracking through hilltop…

I reached Delhi by 16th evening.
I can't explain more about the trip, so please experience the pic in the attachment.....(Image size are heavy hence some small size are attached)
Quick Bite as per Guide:
Joshimath Gate Time: 5PM
VOF Pass: Rs 150 for Indian (For Foreigner it Double)
Night Stay in VOF and Hemkund: Not Allow. (Except sewak in Hemkund)
Best time to track VOF: July to Aug’11

You'll get numerous buses to Haridwar at Kashmere (I prefer 'Kashmiri') Gate ISBT in Delhi.. You'll be advised to read the related threads before asking any basic info or questions.. so better do that to avoid waste of time
P.S.
Try your luck - ISBT, Kashmere Gate, Phone No. 23868836, 23865181
