Hi friends,
I want practical inputs and experiences from people who visited Valley of Flowers in mid-August, about climate, flowers, fooding and lodging on the way, charges, cloak room facilities, if any, etc. Thanks in advance. regards, Bhaswaran

I visited it in thrid week of August 3 yrs ago.
Climate: It rained when we were trekking up, so assume there will be rains and carry rain gear. Also budget one extra day for landslides etc Flowers: Many including Bhramakamal on route to Hemkund Food and Loding: Plenty of food stalls all along the way, staying options at Ghangaria include GMVN, dhabbas, FRH and tents. Food is generally cheap |

Oh ! Bhaswaran you are really doing a lot of research.
It rains almost daily in Valley of flowers in July/August, but never incessantly, that's why flowers are in full bloom this time. You'll get plenty of Photography opportunities. All along the route, there are many food stalls mostly selling Maggi. Ghangharia gurudwara has plenty of rooms and big halls to stay. it serves free food also. There is a GMVN and many smaller places also.
