Urgent Update Required for Hemkund Sahib

Hello Imers,

I have came to know from newspaper that a bridge over Hem-Ganga at Gobind Ghat has broken down. Has anybody got any update? I will feel thankful to every answer.

Another news from internet is that Glacier above Gobind Dham has broken down on 23rd June kiling 6 people and injuring a dozen nos.

I am planning for 1st july to visit Hemkund Sahib. Any further update will be appreiciated.

The journey was stopped due to a bridge collapsing. There was huge crowd of pilgrims and the Gurudwara committee announced the stoppage of yatra. However, Army has erected makeshift bridge and the yatra is continuing.

Hi All,

I am thankful to all above who provided adequate and useful information. I also feel sorry as I was not able to check these messages before going for yatra. I will give my blog post in a day or two giving all the details I was able to capture during my visit to Hemkund Sahib.

I am just quoting a news report Delhiwala and who am I to question whether the numbers are right or not?
But considering the fact that the route caters to Kedarnath, Hemkunt Sahib and Badrinath the numbers are not all that much. Also the number of Yatris to Kedarnath increses marginally during the month of Sawan which started two days ago.
