There is sometimes a problem climbing to Triund if there has been a lot of snow. Sometimes it is definitely off limits and you can hear the avalanches from Dharamkot village. The best thing is to apprise the situation when you get there or keep in touch with the Himalayan Climbing Institute in Mcleod Ganj.

Triand
In good weather this walk is possible for persons of almost any age. Allow 3 1/2 hours up - coming down much quicker.
The route is pretty obvious. You have options at the start, up through the village at Bhagsu, or part of the way on the road (bit easier) etc. Enjoy and say hi to the canine friends. |
