Treks in December in Uttaranchal

Hi

Was wondering if there are any treks possible in the Uttaranchal or Himachal region in December 09. I understand that the Chadar trek in Zanskar starts from January.

There are plenty of winter treks to do in Uttarakhand. I have put some up on one of the threads.

Short treks could include Sari-Deoria tal, or Kanak Cahuri-Kartik Swami temple. However, I think the trek to Dodi tal is possible in winters. I have also heard of a Chandrashila winter trek.

Hi,
There are plenty of treks you can do in Dec speciallly the region of Pindari and Kafni. I am nt sure for Milam or panchachuli bcoz the Munsiyari region to get snow fall quite early, so may me the route towards milam and tht side be close.
You can try for pindari with tht kafni and trail pass.

Dayara and Dodital are definitely possible in December.

Are you sure ?

Trail pass is not a trek, but an expedition (as said by one of the most reputed and highly respected trekking guru of IM.)
As far as my knowledge goes, its one of the most toughest treks and hardly very few people have done this.
