Avoid buying online. They may not fit your feet. Also for delivery courier will add customs etc inceasing costs by 30-40% plus addnl pain of clearance issues.

Guys,
For those of you who are thinking of buying Merrell shoes :-

Yesterday I went to one of the showrooms in Gurgaon (MGF Metropolitian mall) where they sell Merrell shoes. They have an offer going on currently.

If you buy a Merrell shoes worth 5k, you will get two gifts along with it. Merrell laptop bag worth 3k (bag was good) and one watch....not sure about its value.

Cheers!

I was in mumbai last week & checked the Merrell Shoes at Phoenix mills. Those were good.

Also had a chance to visit a store in Wadala called SMART DESIGNS. They stock Lafuma shoes; they gotta model called Kendasa which has Gore tex upper and Vibram sole. Price Rs 6800. I was impressed with this particular model and also the gear they stock and boy the outdoor knowledge the staff has scores above all. they have an impressive website www.OutdoorTravelGear.com

hi everybody,

if i may join this discussion, i would like to give you my experience with trekking/mountaineering shoes........one brand a absolutely CANNOT recommend is SALOMON, expensive, made in china and crap. i have ruined two pairs within 3 seasons.

if you are doing serious mountaineering, La Sportiva or Scarpa is definitely a brand i can recommend. they also do women models.

Greetings, Austriangirl

Any one has any past experience with Merrell trekking shoes? Do update. Currently Metro Shoes is running a 30% discount on them.

Hey,

I got a pair of Timberland Gore-Tex Sandown shoes last month.
Although, somebody got this for me from USA.
The shoes are great and fits well.
They are very light.

About Lafma-Kendasa, i would suggest that you use it extensively before wearing it for a trek. I know couple of my close friends who were very uncomfortable in EBC trek using their brand new ones.
