hmm, try wayanad. really beautiful.
then see if u can make it to tushargiri waterfalls near kozhikode. they r remote n involve a bit of trekking. 1 or 2 kms straight up through really dense jungles.
then u ca also try the munnar area.
if u want to stay close to civilisation, go to kodai/ooty.
if u wanna check some pics of these places, just ping back.

Karnataka Trekking

For trekking places in Karnataka refer to http://dreamroutes.org/etc/alltreks.html as a starting point.

I would recommend any of these
- Kumara Parvata
- Tediyandamol
- Narasimha Parvata
- Kodachadri

Nice places for trekking in Karnataka..are
1. Bandipur - gopalswamy betta
2. Nagarhole
3. Bhrahmagiri peak
There are lots of places in Coorg, Chikmaglur, Kodachatri, Kemmangunid - where u r trek - these places are hilly and green.

In Tamilnadu - you can trek around Kodaikanal, Nilgiris, Mudumalai, Masinagudi etc...

treks near OOTY

hi
I remember my treks in OOty district in 1995. We started from KOONUR , Went to Durg, Manjoor, Upper Bhavani, Bison's camp, Parson's valley, Mukurthi, Pykara, Masinigudi etc.
Do explore this area for shola forests, Jungle buffallo, wild boar, leopard, elephants...There is trekking peak: Mukurthi peak.
Our expedition was sponsered by National adventure foundation and organised by Youth hostels association, Chennai.
