Trekking in Southern India
Hi all. Great site, I've been reading through the posts for a good month and am still finding great info for my upcoming trip to India.
I've been researching trekking in Southern India, but there isn't much online. Most of what I've found online and in my Rough Guide seems to be centered around Periyar and Munnar. Can anyone suggest any websites or books that could help me out? Has anyone done any trekking in the south? |

Trekking In Southern India
You should Trek around Coorg , in Karnatka .
I did a nine day Trek around Coorg in the Western Ghats and it was amazingly beautiful . The Youth Hostel , which has its office in Madikeri - near the Indian Bank could be of help , there are other Trekking agencies as well . I stayed in local houses ..and its an experience . Cheers & have fun |
