trekking in India vs. Nepal
trekking in India vs. Nepal
I was planning on going to Nepal to hike in the mountains because I prefer Buddhist (more gentle and tolerant) to Hindu culture and for the fresh cool air. But I am reconsidering, not because of the Maoists but the red tape and costs in Nepal to go off the beaten track.
If you have treked in both Nepal and India care to make a comparison of advantages and disadvantages?
And why do so many people go to HP instead of Sikkim? Is it a herd mentality or is it actually better in the western foothills?
