Trekking Gear in Mumbai/Delhi
Hi,
We are planning for a trek to Indrahara pass in Mid October. Can anyone tell me where to get the trekking gear in Mumbai or Delhi? Any contact numbers please, if you have. This would be second trip to the pass, the first one was way back in 1995. |

Are you sure it won't be very cold in October? What about fresh snowfall?

yes, it could be cold. Last time we did face a hailstorm, but it lasted just for an hour. I am looking for rented equipments. I don't think Avi would supply gear on rent. Do they?
Indrahar pass is in Himanchal. One has to go to Dharamshala--->McleodGunj--->Triun--->Lahesh Caves and then cross over the peak to reah Chamba on to the other side. The route is rocky and dry. There was a small glacier at the base of the peak, don't know if it still exists. |

In Delhi, you can try Chogori. They are the official importer for several leading brands, including The North Face and Scarpa.
They are at: 511 Kailash Building 26, Kasturba Gandhi Marg Delhi Ph. +91 11 331 2783 info@chogoriindia.com They mainly deal with retailers and as such have limited stock, but they may just have what you need, or just give them sufficient notice and they can get it for you. |
