Look for "Trekking in LADAKH"

also check in the Ladakh/Zanskar sub-forum.

Hi,
reach Leh and go around the Bazzar. You will get lots of groups to join for trekking.

Hi bees. It would be appreciated if you used full english when posting on the forum. There is a wide variety of nationalities that use IndiaMike, and english can be a difficult enough language in full, without using text. Thanks for your help with this.

hello,

8-th or 9 is quite nice, I'd suggest to meet in Leh at these day and see.
My budget is not very big, for 10 days treckking around $100 is fine, less if great

what do you think?

that would be cool. budget of $100 should be enough if the taxis dont cost us a lot. as far as the trekking and the stay in leh is concerned, this amount must be sufficient. 10th July in leh should be very comfortable.

by the way....which route would you be taking...i mean when do you plan to reach leh and via which route..i'd be coming from chandigarh ..so both manali or srinagar routes seem cool...

i'd be leaving town on 8th, so ..8th night at manali..9th at sarchu and reach leh on 10th..

thanx..comments welcome

Keylang, Jispa or Darcha are advisable for the first night's halt. It's a moot point where to stop next - either at Upshi or just continue the 50 km to Leh.
