Trek to Tunganath

I have planned a trek to Tunganath next month.I palnned this place around October(along with Deoria tal), but I wont be getting enough leave from office. The new plan is quite tight and probably would be very stressful ,yet I would like to know whether it is practically acheivable or not. Here it is:
Aug 15th, Friday - Leave for Haridwar from New Delhi by bus at 9 pm.
Aug 16th,Saturday- Arrive Haridwar at 3 am. Leave for Kund in a Gaurikund bound vehicle by 5 am, and reach Kund by 11.30 am. Head for Chopta from Kund and (will probably)make it to Chopta by 2 pm. Start my trek to Tunganath at 2.30 and arrive Tunganath by 4 pm. Night stay at Tunganath.
Aug 17, Sunday- Leave from Chandrashila early morning(4 am). Return to Tunganath by 7 am. Leave Tunganath at 7.45 and and reach Chopta by 9 am. Try to make it to Kund by 11, and (if a break journey is required) Rudraprayag by 12.30. Fianally, reach Haridwar accordingly. If Ihave the time to catch a night bus to Delhi, I shall do it, otherwise board an early morning vehicle to Delhi the next day.

I know , its a very tedious plan. What I would like to know is whether I get the vehicles as per my plan, as I dont have any idea regarding the frequency of vehicles from Kund and Chopta. I am ready to take pains for this dream trek of mine, and refinements are highly awaited.

Regards,
Sagarneel.

Schedule looks too tight for monsoon period. Otherwise doable.

From Kund, you may get share-jeep for Ukhimath. For Chopta, if enough passengers are not available, you may have to book the entire jeep provided jeep driver agrees. As it is, jeep drivers will be reluctant to drive during rains and I understand that Ukhimath-Chopta Road is not in good condition during monsoon.

On return journey from Chopta, I would suggest that you start from Tungnath early so that you are at Chopta by 9.00 a.m. I know for sure that the Bhukh Hartal Bus which starts from Gaurikund at 5.30 a.m. reaches Chopta at around 9.00 a.m. for Badrinath via Gopeshwar and Chamoli. You can get in this bus and change at Chamoli for Haridwar. Plan you return journey after checking with dabha owners about the bus timing and the availability of share-jeep at Chopta.

I doubt whether you will get a share jeep from Chopta to Kund

Another thing is that why dont you leave on Aug 14th night - Aug 15th is holiday for most people - unless you are a teacher or in Army, Police etc

This is doable but it all depends upon rain. We did VOF and Hemkund in 3 days but were stuck by a massive landslide for 24 hours. We planed the trek from 14th Aug - 19th Aug but it ended on 21nd early morning

So I can only wish you good luck, enjoy

Very tight Sagarneel. But if nature does not come in your way, you can do it.

Be prepared to book a jeep/car if situation demands because you have such tight timings.

I don't know how the situation is now. Once I got stuck at Chopta as the local bus was so crowded that I couldn't get in with my gear.
