Dec-Jan...north-eastern Uttaranchal

Hi everyone,

I'm leaving for my first trip to India in a week and I'm super keen to do some trekking in the Nanda Devi area in north-eastern Uttaranchal.

I plan to meet with other backpackers to see if they'd like to join, but if not I am more than happy to do this alone...

my question is this:
Is this wise or just plain stupid? Is it still safe to do alone?

Secondly, I understand it'll be FREEEEZING, but there's no reason why I still couldn't do the trekking hey?

Any advice would be superb

Thanks everyone!
Tiim.

Pindari in early April?

Is there any advice as to whether the KMVN lodgings on the Pindari trek will be open for walkers in early April?
