Tea house treks

I apologize if this topic has already been beaten to death, but I did a search and got nothing.

Are there tea house treks in India?

I was reading about the Annapurna Circuit and it was described as a tea house trek. I don't know exactly what this means, but it sounded like a trail with lodges spaced apart so that you don't have to worry about carrying food or sleeping material, sounded great to me. The Annapurna Circuit sounds good and all but I figure I'd just stay in India if this type of trek is possible here.

Thanks,

Gabe

Pindari Glacier is one. The places for food and room are not as frequent as Annapurna, but their within a 3-5 hour hike from each other more or less.

i think tea house trek means a trek where you do not have to carry tents, coz tea houses are available all along the way.

Like ananda stated, pindari is one of them. another option can be milam, which is a tougher trek but is considered tea house as well - you get chaii shops all along the way . another good one in garhwal is har ki dun.

i have put some of their pics over here:
