Timeless Adventure- 5th Feb at IHC

Hi All
the next talk of HC is going to be at Gulmohar hall in India Habitat Centre- New Delhi by a unique team of trekkers.

All leading Industrialists, the oldest member of this team was in his late seventies in this unique group.

Here is the text of the invite sent out by Maninder Kohli- Hon Local Secretary of HC.

"Most trekkers tend to feel that beyond 60 years trekking in the
Himalaya is literally an uphill task.

The next Himalayan Club talk titled Timeless Adventure is intended to
influence all in the audience to add another 20 years to there
trekking life if not more.

Timeless Adventure features one of India's most senior trekking group
with the eldest member at 79 years.

Do come along and hear there motivation to trek completely unhindered by age."

Here is the brief biodata of the speakers:

Tanil Kilachand, a leading industrialist belonging to the Kilachand business group, studied at Cambridge University (B.A. in History and Law) and Harvard University (Masters in Business Administration), and is an active member of several Chambers of Commerce such as the Indian Merchants’ Chamber, ASSOCHAM, and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). He is the Vice President of the Himalayan Club as well as a keen golfer, trekker, and an active reader of books on philosophy, history, and the arts and is associated with several cultural and charitable organizations.

Deepak Vijaysinh Bhimani, apart from being a prominent industrialist, is also a seasoned photographer, nature lover, and an amateur astronomer. He takes a keen interest in photographing Total Solar Eclipses, comets, and planets. He is the past President of the Amateur Astronomer’s Association of Mumbai, and has been felicitated by the Indian Planetary Society for his contributions to the field.

Jayasinh Mariwala is a leading industrialist and Chartered Accountant whose
passion for nature and trekking seems to be unaffected by his age of 78 years as he still finds time from his busy schedule to visit the mountains. Since the last 17–18 years he has been spending 10-15 days every month on his farm at Mahabaleshwar in the Sahyadri range. He keeps himself fully occupied trekking in the forest and farming strawberries, vegetables, and flowers. He is also extremely fond of listening to music, reading, and painting.
