Starting Pindari Trek around 7th/8th June
Me dears,
would it be raining around then on the trail of this trek. i am banking on finding accomodation without advance reservation and without caryying any food or tent or any special gear. just caryying a fleece jacket, and windcheater, a couple of pants and a couple of shirts and regular trekking shoes. hope that wont be a problem. Anyone wanna team up? Ciao |

hi
Though it can rain in june but you'll find Rhododendrons burning in that month. I'm told they are in full bloom in june july. I did the trek in oct. It did'nt rain but then there was lesser color. So either way you gain some you lose some.
Stay won't be a problem. Dhakuri has a guest house where there is always space for one more. Same goes for Khati. Dwali is short of space. Phurkia has guest house which is very run down. Beyond this place the only place to stay is baba Dharmanand's cottage. There you'll get fed and blessed. Try starting from Phurkia early so that you may catch glimpse of Pindari before it starts puffing and obscures itself. All the best. Lucky |

About Dwali: You have to take care if this fact that DWALI caretaker is available there-this can be known from KHATI shops.
Furkia is not closed down but it is ruins but serve as a shelter which is very important. NEVER expects that BABA will give you shelter-baba is moody man...and does not provide shelter to everyone. Check out BABA PICTURES AT: http://www.himadventures.net/media-g...aininKu maon/ |
