Weather for skiing

I think your timing is good and you should have good vocation out there. You will be packing winter clothing-thats good but myexperience is that few necessary things should be known if this is your first trip.

You should never be without goggle as snow reflection can cause temp. blindness which creates severe headache. This spoils the whole vocation as you are forced to stay indoors.

Sun cream is second things which you will love to use and smell !

Do pack basic medicines and first aid. While learning skiing- it is normal to have turns and twists and if weather is packaed- someimtes basic medicine becomes a luxury. Although there will be many people around you and it should not be a big issue at place like AULI but still- it is always good to pack.

Do not use alcohol. If you have to...bue to any good reason- stay inside your room in all case !

I am all excited as my skiing course in Auli starts on the 14th of Jan. Any inputs on where I can pick up trek pants in Delhi? Also would I require special shoes?

Qosmos... i have waterproof track plants from Nike. They cost quite a bit but i think it worth it. They are rugged and serve the purpose. I have been using them over 2 years and i go sailing in them very often. They cost approx 1500/- !! Do keep me posted so i would be in Auli a month later after your visit.

Are we discussing trek pants or track plants?

Or trek plants, by any chance?
