Sikkim and Darjeeling District

Last month I went on a two week holiday to Sikkim and Darjeeling. Including a four day trek in the lower Himalayas to Sanakphu. The short version of the story is that we had an excellent time. We went to Gangtok, Rumtek Monastery, Lake Tsombgo, Darjeeling, Sandakphu, the toy train, Kurseong, Kalimpong and more.

The long version turned out to be quite an epic, so I can hardly post it here, if you want to read it make sure you have some spare time, and head on over to my blog. Scroll to the bottom, ignore the birthday post right at the base, and work your way up.

There's photos in the blog, but if you want to see some more, then take a look here and here.

Finally, a quick plug for the guy who organised our trip. His name is Paras, and he did a fantastic job. His company is called Himalayan Holidays, and you can contact him at himalyanholidays@yahoo.com
