Hi Veebig......if u want to climb Shitidhar Peak why not try Ladakhi Peak at the same time .....their base camp is same, situated above Beascund and both can be climbed from the same call.... so think about it.....

May is tooo early for LADAKHI. Yu will be all walking and living in snow for SHITIDHAR and it will be requiring SNOW SHOES and ICE AXES along with ropes if you want to attempt in MAY.

This is good one but your timing is too early.

Shitidhar v/s Ladakhi

shitidhar can be attempted by people who can walk with snowshoes [ In May ] but Ladakhi requires good knowledge and good stamina also.

There has been nastly falls in LADAKHI- I suggest to try SHITIDHAR instead of Ladakhi.

Mos probably- Shitidhar will be all snowfaced in MAY. When I last saw it in MAY- it was all snow right from river crossing from 2 kms.ahead of DHUNDI camp.

But a cool mind, good guidence can always help in climbing this peak. Do try to learn some climbing techniques from someone experienced in team. This region is heaven for people who wants to learn...

We badly need some good climbers in India- wishing you guys all the best !!

No- I do not want to encourage you to try SHITIDHAR in this tight schedule. You have to travel+trek+climb all without any rest...it should be minimum 7-8 days for a safe experience.

You will be reaching SOLANG VALLEY in ONE DAY-this is overnight travel from DELHI. Further you have to trek to BEAS KUND which is again sudden hight gain...and certainly not reccommended to do this. There is no accommodation enroute-you have to have all gear, supplies and ponies etc.

I think you are asking for RUN-FOR-SUMMIT..which I think could be risky.
