What Swargarohini did you mean?? One is situated at Uttarkashi district. This is a group of peaks (I, II, III) near Bandarpunch massif. But the one near Satopanth Tal is not any kind of peak. It is just a ice-fall supposed to be a path taken by Yudhisthir to reach heaven .

Take warm clothes but as you walk in the sun the body heats up, for walking a light windcheater would do fine. It's only in the night that warm clothes are required if you are outside, the tent or cave.
Plenty of caves availabe on the route to Satopanth. At Satopanth a pucca house (room) is there by Kali Kamli Dhramsala.
For Swargahoroni, the peak will be visible from Satopanth but you may have to go beyond to Som tal and Surya Tal for the peak to be more clear.
Shoes. A good pair of sneakers or Bata hunters should do you through

Smile Satopanth Tal Completed Successfully

Hi All,
I'm back from Satopanth Tal trekking. Lots of good and bad experiences. Weather was mostly cloudy, but God gifted us 2 beautiful days to watch majestic Neelkanth and Satopanth Tal with Choukhamba. We have to cut down the VoF shedule coz. of my friends illness. He didn't make to Satopanth Tal and returned back from Chamtoli (our first camp). I completed it in 4 days in hurry being worried for my friend waiting at Badrinath. Some points:

1. Laxmivan has been flooded partly last year. So now you can't camp under the bhuj trees anymore. You have to camp at upper Laxmivan.

2. Also the bridge in Mana to cross the river has been gone during the flood. It caused by the sudden break of Vanglung glacier which is in front of Laxmivan.

3. We crossed the Alakananda river over a Ice Skeliton created by a falls before Vasudhara falls.

4. I found lots of flowers in Chamtoli bugiyal and in Chakrateerth.

Well, I just returned today. I'm trying to upload the snaps as soon as possible.

@capt
thanks. I'm uploading those.

@solo
end of May and first of June is the earliest for Satopanth. But now a days weather became very unpredictable. We got mostly cloudy and rainy weather as mansoon hit earlier.

@avid
thanks for congratulating. I'm preparing the blog within 1-2 days.
