satopanth-swargarohini trek completed

after touring , during 27 Aug thru 06 sep
=>
Jaipur - dharmshala- mcleodganj-nadi-palampur- Manali - Rohtang pass- Naggar - banjara valley-sojha-jaloripass- mandi-sangla valley ( chitkul,rakchum,nagasti, Batseri village , attending Phulech flower festival on Sept 01 in Batseri) -sarahan - thanedar - narkanda - kufri

did a successful trek badrinath - satopanth lake - Suraj kund - Swargarohini during 10 sep thru 18 sep. Since I got a terrible bronchial infection in UAE ( since I was practicing in the mid Aug 45-50 degree celcius temperature ) my speed was very slow. I found my 6 ft 90kg body too heavy. Satopanth trek is 70-80% boulders. but Satopanth - swargarohini is 100 % boulders over glacier and the approach to Suraj kund lake entrance is very tricky one. on the way we had the company of Army rescue team who came to recover bodies of 6 army men perished after summitting Chaukumba last year. I got very much fascinated by the mighty Chaukumba I , II , III , IV peaks.

The swargarohini path which Yudhishtara is assumed to have climbed is on the side of Chaukumba - it is the Tilman route to Kedarnath. I hope that the Badrinath - Kedarnath trek route will be established soon. The traffic in Satopanth has increased in 2006 and due to the nuisance the Saints meditating in Satopanth are planning to relocate up.

but i am deeply pained by the garbage , the indian tourists, leave in the Himalayas denigrating the devbhoomi. I found empty liquor bottles in Chakradhara , pepsi bottles, plastics , polythenes throughout. wretched bastards.
