Question Sakleshpur Railway Trek- Kumaraparveth KP - Together ?

Hi All,

We a group of guys planning to do Sakleshpur Railway Trek and KP together. Is it advisable to do it together. The group size may be big as 20 to 30 ppl.

We are planning to do both this in 4 days (Oct 2nd week). 2 days for Saklesh pur Railway Trek and the remainign 2 days for KP.

Is it a doable one ? or will it be tough to combine both.

Thanks.

Hi,

Day 01 Sakleshpur to Donigal by road (8 kms) and trek to yedikumeri on the track (20 kms)
Day 02 Yedikumeri to Gundya (18 kms) and then to Subramanya by road. Halt at Subramanya.
Day 03 Subramanya to Girigadde (5 kms)
Day 04 Girigadde to KP and return to Subramanya (15 kms)

this is how the plan should go.
01) you can do it in 4 days.
02) The first part will be a very painful for your feet because of the cement planks which has replaced the wooden one. The second part of the trek to KP up to Girigadde is a very steep trek.

If you want any help in arranging for the trek do contact me

Hi Diwakar,

I was able to do it in 4 days as per Narayn.. After the trains started running I am not sure if you can walk on those tracks anymore.. I would suggest that you check with some one who did it recently ..
One piece of advice ! make sure your shoes arent tight at the front .. Both my toe nails came out after walking on those stones on that track as my shoes were a little tight ..

Good luck ! Its an ammazing walk
