is used by locals on both sides to visit their in-laws. Crossable without ice axe etc from August to early October. Shingea ghati is hardly used nowadays.

Yes-Thats correct
Yes AVID is correct about this and this can be crossed over without iceaxe.
A good guide is essential which one can get from SANGLA or CHITKUL but have to work for it as not much people are crossing over these days. |
