Roopkunda trekk in last OCT

Hi all,

I am new in this forum but not in trek. I want to goto Roopkunda trek in 18th OCT. I just want some information,

1. What about the weather at that time?
2. If Ill hire a car from hariduwar to wan then what is cost.

I think hiring car for this journey will be too much for you as it takes almost 2 full day of travel. I think you should take BUS from HARIDWAR to KARAN PARYAG and then stay there for a night.
Next day- early morning, start in shared jeep or small bus for MANDOLI. From MANDOLI- you will get jeep for WAN.

Your timing is fine and I am sure you should have good weather.

You can get a direct bus(small) from Rishikesh(early morning) to Loharjung. I'hve been on one such bus, but it is a real long and tiring day. Plus by the time you reach Loharjung it's almost evening so possibility of getting a jeep to WAN is remote, though wan is just a 45 min -1 hr drive from here. You can even start your trek from loharjung itself.
