Roopkund Trek

Hi all,
Can anyone pls provide me the details of Roopkund trek.

1.is it the right time to go in may first week
2. How many days do we need.
3. Wat will be the average cost per head , if i go through some agency
4. Can someone provide me some contacts, if u have.

May is not the right time to trek Roopkund as beyond Baguabasa, it would be heavily snow bound.

Thanx sadanand for ur reply. May would be summer right. If thr is snow bound in summer, then when would be the right time?

The topography of the Baguabasa-Roopkund region is such that the weather can turn hostile anytime of the day which makes snow trek risky.

If I go by the success rate of some of the trekkers, months of June and September seem to be right time for this trek.

You may require 7-8 days for Lohajung-Roopkund-Lohajung trek depending upon the weather conditions.

The cost of trek will depend upon the number of persons in the trekking group and the agency you intend to pick up. If you arrange through a guide, the cost may be lower than that of the agency.
