Thanks

Yes u are right Didina and Alibugyal is must on the list, I have talked with my guide on that and I says it will be fine and they will start with us from Lohajung……..

Anyone with any idea how Bhuna-Kanol-Sitel-Ghaat-Nandaprayag route is? I have not read much about that route except few sites, blogs……… looking forward to explore that part. Heard there is road from Sitel-Ghaat-Nandaprayag but not that well used….. Hope we get some transport there…. N a good shot of Trishul and Chaukamba

That's tough; depends on luck that day; its not a regular one shot route otherwise. You will change taxi's and hop from one place to another to reach lohajung.

There's a UTC bus Haldwani-Lohajang. Leaves very early though.

There are jeeps to Gwaldam also. Maybe a KMOU bus too.

In Aug'11, we had pre booked an entire vehicle as we were 9 persons, but i did inquire around the taxi stand (a small one) and understood that you can get share rides right upto Deval (approx 1 -1.5 hrs before Lohajung). There you'll get a ride upto Lohajung.

The bus originates at Delhi (leaves previous night), so it might be touch and go. Although it does have a halt at Haldwani for 20-30 mins.

Gwaldam to Lohajang will be no problem, you'll have to change a few times.

I had spoken to my guide approx 15 days back. He was sure that there'll be snow after Ghora Latauni even around the end of May.

Enjoy your trek.

Great to know we'll have people preceding on the trek We're starting from Rishikesh after a short Rafting itinerary there, on 31st May, via Lohajung. Where have you planned to get the trekking equipments from? Are good ones available at GMVN, Rishikesh or elsewhere there?
How many prior days' booking is required to get these equipments..? Any suggestion(s)/contact(s) would be of great help!

Cheers!
