Hi Chits,

I and my girlfriend will be doing Roopkund in the same days. Could you give me your contact details so that we can be in touch.

We are travelling to Wan through Haridwar. There is a train which will leave Delhi at 11pm and reach Haridwar at 4am. I will reach Karnaprayag by noon and Wan by early evening. You should also explore this option, since it will allow you more rest before starting off the next day.

anandrp;381950]Hi Chits,

Yes why not because you are gaining hieghts fast so you take rest for one days in wan anotherwise you may caught by ackute mountaing sickness.after one day rest then you start for Bednibugyal or you can start from Anotherside that is from Loherjang-to Dedna-to Bhesikhal-to Bedni Bugyal vai Ali Bugyal.
when you are planning.One thing more you will want good guide with cook good porter.you have 5 days in ther upper side camp so try to take min 7days ration because i cant say abount weather because some time heavy snow fall in up side of Bhaguapassa.You have good tent & slleing with good warm clothing after Bhaguapassa so try to araagend good once

@anand
we are going other way ..kathgodam and from there we will start for Wan around 7 AM..last week one of our friend reach WAN by 8 PM ..so we are going to repeat the same...
as you see in my itinerary ..we will goto Bedni the very next day..and in my opinion ..one should acclimitaise at higher height instead at wan..a rest day @ bedni can be good idea..
we are doing this to acclimatise..normally peple cover bedni - bagguwasa in 1 day..we are doing in 2 days..

Day 2: Bedni Bugyal - Ghora Lotani...and rest for acclimitasie
Day 3: Ghora Lotani - Baggu Wasa and again acclimatise..

we have arranged a experinced guide and porters..food and other stuff we will buy from noida and pack in carton..the same we did in HKD December trekkmore info here http://chitrang.blogspot.com

anand ..post ur itinerary..so that we can see where we can meet..
bye
